Cartoon Network / BoyBand Summer / May 2011
To promote their summer programming the good people at Cartoon Network decided to create their very own Boyband and celebrate with a song and dance. Oooh Yeah!! The Mumbo challenge was to recreate the band in six languages, adapting the lyrics, casting the voices, and working with a musical director to help us re-create the vocal harmonies of the original English. Fun times!

Cartoon Network / Angelo Rules / March 2011
When Cartoon Network promo producer Sandra Motulsky came to us with her Claymation promo for the show Angelo Rules we knew we were in for a creative treat.
We were challenged to find actors able to voice both the male and female characters with élan, in 6 languages and to adapt the script to communicate the humour of the original to both children and their parents, in 6 different cultures.

Discovery Channel - On-Air Continuity (Ongoing)
Since 2005 Mumbojumbo has been producing foreign language versions for Discovery Channel on a regular basis, (on-air continuity, promos, vignettes, teasers). Working under the tightest deadlines (sometimes turning projects around in less than 24 hours) we continue to deliver consistently high level results, as expected from this global broadcaster.
Our in-territory system of production managers, translators, and recording facilities are set up specifically to deal with the sort of last minute emergencies that are inevitable in this industry. Our approach secures a wide range of casting choices, low rates for the client and guarantees timely delivery that includes our London studio audio quality control.

Turner Broadcasting/Cartoon Networks – Full Service Language Production (ongoing)
Simplifying work processes and allowing major broadcasters easy access to the best overseas voice talent, is what we love to do the most. When cartoon Network approached us in March 2010 to see if we could help with their language production and translation for on-air material, we immediately began to tailor our unique in-territory solutions to suit the tone of this iconic channel.
Sourcing local voice and production talent who deliver a rich variety of voices to the shortest deadlines, alongside our production teams in London, our solution is designed to take the load off the client’s production teams, and still allow creative control for the channel’s producers. We are currently producing translation and audio for on-air in Russia, Bulgaria, Holland, Romania, Poland and Hungary, delivered in London with our quality assurance and personal attention to detail.

Discovery - "Boom De Yada"
Discovery came to us with a musical brand spot that played on the much loved "Boom De Yada" theme. Boasting high production values, the challenge for us was to create an all-singing all-dancing local version; to produce a translation that had to be sensitive to both the tune and the rhythm of the original and retain the all important feel-good value; to cast both singing and acting talent who were guided by musical directors to create a local version that brings a smile to the face of all who watch it.

Publicis & Hal Riney - Sandisk International Radio Campaign
San Francisco ad agency Publicis & Hal Riney asked us to help them produce a European radio campaign for technology company SanDisk. The creative team flew over from San Francisco, and worked with us to produce the work in time and within budget.

Discovery - "Short"
One of Discovery Network’s flagship projects "Short" was a series of commissioned short films, showcasing the fascinating true life stories of unique individuals. It was a brand defining endeavour from the Emerging Markets department at Discovery. From the cross translating of four source languages, casting, and recording in territory, to the final audio mix, mastering and layback here in London, ready for broadcast in Israel, Turkey, Russia, and South Africa, Mumbojumbo was there at every stage of the adaptation process. A complex and high profile project, requiring cross adaptation, highly creative translation and the casting of the most unique voice talents, ensured the poetry of the original films was retained. Recordings were produced entirely in-territory, flying out Mumbojumbo’s project producer to supervise the local teams.
